What is your process for cut flower longevity?Every effort is made to ensure your flowers last. We harvest either early morning or in the evening. Flowers are then stripped of leaves below water level and are left in a cool, dark room to drink up water overnight. At short notice, we require a minimum of 4 hours before arranging your flowers into a beautiful bouquet!
-
Do you supply a water source for the flowers? We supply cardboard vases for all our bouquets except the Dainty. The Dainty will be wrapped with a temporary water source to ensure your flowers stay hydrated until they are gifted or you return home. (Please make sure not to leave the flowers in a hot vehicle)

How do I care for my flowers?Caring for flowers can be a tricky endeavour. Always select a clean vase to suit the size of your bouquet; too large of a vessel won't provide enough support for the stems. Fill the vase with fresh, cold water and cut an inch off the stems at a 45° angle before arranging them. This gives the stems maximum surface area to absorb nutrients and water. If they're wilting or drooping, recut the stems and change the water entirely. It is best to change the water daily to reduce any bacteria build up. Place in a cool spot out of direct sunlight. In the midst of summer, you can even place a couple of ice cubes in the water to keep your flowers cool. With these simple tips, your flowers are sure to thrive!
-
How long do cut flowers last in the vase? With proper care, most varieties of blooms can persist for up to a week, sometimes two, in a vase with fresh water. However, this largely depends on factors such as temperature, light levels, and variety of flower type. For example, lisianthus and carnations tend to thrive longer than fragile roses. To ensure your blooms remain captivating for the longest time possible, replenish the water every other day and make sure it is kept at room temperature. Additionally, you may add a pinch of sugar or mild bleach solution to prevent bacterial growth. We will provide a floral sachet however it is important to use the correct dosage - 1 sachet requires 1/2 a litre of water to be effective.
